Auxiliary vessels

IHC America can supply a wide range of auxiliary vessels  for transporting dredged material to the disposal site, to assist the dredge in its operations or to increase its overall production rate.

Split hoppers

Split hoppers for seagoing and inland operations, along with backhoe dredges, cutter suction dredges or grab hopper dredgers are an ideal combination as it eases and speeds up the dumping process. The standard self-propelled split hoppers range from 800 to 3,500m³ in size. Furthermore, IHC is currently working on the design and construction of large split hoppers up to 10,000m³.

In case of construction of split hoppers at a client’s preferred shipyard, IHC America offers design, engineering, dredge hardware, components and automation packages as well as support during construction, outfitting, testing and commissioning in addition to training.

Work boats

The Delta Multi Craft (DMC) work boats are engineered and built to display properties that complement the functions of a cutter suction dredge. The DMC’s are designed to support the dredge during towing, anchor handling, lifting of pump parts, cutterhead [?], and pipelines from the water. The DMC’s also provide a spacious working platform and deck area. Other beneficial features are the ability to work in shallow waters and beaching. Fixed pitch propellers in nozzles provide efficient bollard pull and excellent maneuverability, while hull shape and appendages are protecting the propellers in shallow waters.

In case of construction of work boats at a client’s preferred shipyard, DTC offers design, engineering and specific components, automation packages, support during construction, outfitting, testing and commissioning as well as training.
